FOR GARATTI, BEAUTY IS A MATTER OF SOUL AND COLOR.

In the heart of Milan, the world’s rarest diamonds become stories of light, identity, and beauty. Founded in 2018 by Nicolas and Milena Garatti, the Maison redefines high jewelry with creations that celebrate uniqueness, emotion, and purity. Each stone is a fragment of soul. Each jewel, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Garatti has chosen a distinctive color to stand out: green. Hypnotic, rare, profound. “We’ve always pursued uniqueness and exclusivity,” says Nicolas Garatti, “and that’s why it was essential to have a defining symbol.”

Today, the Maison holds the world’s largest collection of green diamonds: 60% of the known total and over 90% of those actually available on the market. “I personally select every fancy diamond,” Garatti continues, “assessing color, clarity, and cut. Each stone is unique—just like the person who will wear it.”

While the white diamond faces something of an identity crisis between luxury and commodification, color is emerging as the new frontier of value. It’s about identity—and it is within color that the future of the diamond is being shaped. Alongside greens, Garatti also works with the ultra-rare Fancy Reds: only 20 to 30 specimens are known globally, with very few exceeding one carat.

Each creation is born from a fully artisanal process. In the atelier on Piazza Cadorna, Milan, opened in 2024, clients are guided through an immersive experience: from concept to realization, in an emotional journey that transcends the stone itself.

Every collection expresses a vision: Akoya Rose, with Japanese pearls and rose gold petals; Domino, where emeralds play with the light; Venezia, a tribute to Venetian chandeliers; Universale, inspired by infinity; Liberty, evoking the natural world. With Iride, however, the Maison reaches its peak: a necklace broken and reassembled around a green diamond, symbolizing rebirth.

Garatti also stands for sustainability and culture. All stones are natural, traceable, and selected according to the Kimberley Process principles. “We work with sustainable stones. A diamond’s value also lies in its story. These are nature’s works of art—unrepeatable and authentic,” says Nicolas Garatti.

Combining craftsmanship and innovation, every jewel is tailor-made to enhance extraordinary gems.

Interest in fancy color diamonds is rapidly growing among collectors and investors. “It was Garatti who brought this market to Europe—and we are proud of that.”

An Italian excellence, with deep roots in Milan. Nicolas Garatti concludes: “Italy is our creative engine. This is where we want to continue building value. Colored diamonds will keep rising—like art, they are eternal.”
