EXQUISITE EMERALDS AND COLOURED GEMSTONES ARE IN DEMAND AT BONHAMS HONG KONG JEWELS & JADEITE SALE

Hong Kong - Bonhams presented Hong Kong Jewels and Jadeite sale on 23 November 2025. The curated live sale featured a superb selection of signed jewels, large gemstones, and period treasures with creations by Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet Paris, Dorera, Fred Paris, GF & F The Haute Joaillerie, JAR, M. Gérard, Marcus & Co., Meister, Ronald Abram and Van Cleef & Arpels. The sale included numerous impressive private collections, each featuring rare and highly collectable jewels, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire coloured diamonds, diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

The top lot was a pair of pear-shaped emerald pendants of Colombian origin, weighing 64.37 and 63.19 carats respectively. The pendantssold for more than three times its estimate to achieve HK$6,100,000 (estimate HK$1,800,000-3,500,000).

Another notable lot was a pair of unmounted pear-shaped emeralds of Colombian origin, of natural vivid green colour, weighing 25.10 and 24.22 carats respectively.  The emeralds sold for more than four times its estimate to achieve HK$1,210,500 (estimate HK$250,000-500,000).

We were honoured to present a superb collection of diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies of exceptional quality and size within the sale, it was therefore no surprise to see the appetite from collectors, especially for the emeralds, that achieved figures above the pre-sale estimates, seeing fierce competition from international buyers.”
